Voice 9, News Desk: The body of a 19-year-old
girl who was allegedly abducted and acid-attacked was discovered in a well in
Rajasthan's Karauli district on Thursday, police said. According to
authorities, the incident occurred in Hindaun's Karauli neighborhood.
Opposition BJP leaders, including MP Kirodi Lal
Meena, and members of the woman's family staged a sit-in outside the hospital
where the body has been put for a postmortem. The family members have sought
the culprit's immediate arrest, Rs 50 lakh in compensation, and a government
position.
The deceased girl, a college student, went
missing two days ago, and her lifeless body was discovered today in a well. A
highly inflammatory chemical was hurled at the victim, causing burn damage to
her face and torso. She was acid-attacked and then thrown into a deep well in
the wilderness.
According to Nadauti SHO Babu Lal, the college girl, a resident of Mohanpura in the Todabhim region, went missing on Wednesday. According to the officer, her family members claimed in a complaint that she was kidnapped and then murdered.
Rajasthan BJP MP Kirodi Lal Meena has criticized
the state police for incompetence and urged Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot to
shoulder his responsibilities as state Home Minister as well. BJP leader Meena
told reporters that the woman was kidnapped, raped, and murdered.
Taking to Twitter, the BJP leader said,
"The information about the painful death of a 19-year-old Dalit girl by
throwing acid into a well in Gudachandraji, Todabhim, is shocking. The body has
been taken to Hindaun. I have reached Hindaun to get justice for my daughter.
Nowadays, even the pages of newspapers are full of news like rape, murder, and
gang war. Mukhiya ji (Ashok Gehlot), do a little bit of the responsibility of
the Home Minister as well. At least pay attention to the people of this state.
