Voice 9, Delhi Bureau: Police said on Saturday that a 17-year-old was reportedly strangled to death in a town here after an argument about $30 with three males got out of hand.
They said that the accused
killed the class 11 student on Friday night near the Baraut Police Station.
According to the authorities,
the dead were Hrithik, a student at the nearby KHR Inter College. According to
Devesh Kumar Singh, the House Officer (SHO) at Baraut Station, the first
inquiry into the purported murder turned up a disagreement about $30.
The accusation was made by
family members who claim that Hrithik got into an argument with three
individuals from the same village over a transaction for 30 and that the
argument turned violent, leading to the accused men strangling Hrithik to
death. According to authorities, the incident took place on Friday night at 9
p.m.
The SHO stated that there were
no visible signs of harm on Hrithik's body and that family members have stated
that all three accused knew him. The body has been submitted for a post-mortem
examination, according to the police. Further investigation is being conducted
into the incident, according to an FIR that has been filed, they added.
