Voice 9, Dhaka Bureau: In Saje, there were gunshot incidents and damage against tourist cars. The event happened in the Shuknachari neighborhood on Dighinala-Sajek Road on Monday, December 18, at approximately 11:00 a.m.
According
to local sources, a morning-evening road blockade is being observed in Khagrachari
on the call of the organization in protest against the shooting deaths of four
UPDF leaders in Panchari of Khagrachari on Sunday night. Meanwhile, on the way
to Sajek, they opened fire at the Shuknachhari area of the Dighinala-Sajek
road, targeting the tourist vehicle. One round was fired, but no casualties
were reported.
At
the same time, a Mahendra carrying tourists, a pickup, and a private car were
vandalized by activists supported by the UPDF. The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of
Dighinala Police Station, Mohammad Nurul Haque, confirmed the truth of the
incident and said that immediately after the incident, the army and the police
went and rescued the cars, including the tourists, and took them to the army's
Baghaihat zone.
Three
vehicles were slightly damaged; after repairs, they will be taken to their
destination under the guard of law enforcement.
