Voice 9, Dhaka Bureau: Rab-14 arrested a couple
in Sherpur, Bangladesh, carrying 472 grams of heroin. Two digital scales, three
mobile phones with SIM cards, and two silver necklaces were seized. Rab
confirmed this in a news statement on Monday night.
Sultan Mahmud Babu, 42, and his 19-year-old
wife, Munni Khatun, were arrested. On Monday afternoon, they were seized and
questioned.
According to the press release, RAB rushed Md.
Rafiqul Islam's three-story residence in the Madhyasheri area on a tip-off. A
plastic bag was thrown down by the accused. The bag was later unzipped in front
of the residents, and heroin was discovered inside.
Squadron Leader Ashiq Uzzaman, company commander
of RAB-14, CPC-1, Jamalpur camp, stated they had been dealing narcotics for a
long time, both retail and wholesale. Rab reported this to the Sherpur Sadar
Police Station.
