According to the police, Jewel and Nargis of the Balsabari area married in court on May 25, a day after arriving in Ullapara from India. After learning about the marriage on social media, the Indian spouse traveled to Ullapara on June 21 to pick up Nargis.

Nargis married Mir Fazlur Rahman in India 12 years ago, according to police. They have a child living at home. Nargis just became friends with Jewel from the Facebook ID 'Laisa Khatun'. He then moved to Bangladesh and married.

According to Oc Nazrul Islam, the issue of Nargis's stay in Bangladesh, her marriage, and her first husband's lawsuit would be settled legally.
