It is well known that Swami Mukundadasji Kathia, another monk disciple of Dr. Swami Prajnadasji, made the effort to construct this ashram.

Dr. Swami Prajnadasji was born on July 30, 1959, in Purba Bardhaman's Barar village, which is a part of the Memari police station. His mother was Geeta Chatterjee, and his father was Ardhendhu Chatterjee. Pradip Chatterjee was his previous name. The disciple of Sri Sri Dhananjay Dasji Kathia Maharaj, Sri Sri Swami Janakidasji Kathia, later gave this saint his monastic initiation.

In honor of his research, Burdwan University awarded him a Ph.D. in 1991. A Society in the Thought of Marx and Nimbarka was the title of his dissertation. His work serves as a beacon for sociologists in India. The great man then swore to follow the guru's instructions as he continued on the road of sadhana. Later, he built an ashram in his Gurudev's honor at Natungram.

Swami Vishnudasji Kathia was Dr. Swami Pragyadasji Kathia's first saintly disciple. Swami Radhamadhavdas Kathia, who was raised in Dr. Swami Pragyadasji Kathia's Agardwip Nayagram Ashram from the time he was a teenager, was another of his favorite disciples.

Additionally, Dr. Swami Pragyadasji Kathia spent a significant amount of time in Vrindavan with his spiritual mentor. His funeral was finished in Vrindavan after his nirvana.

Swami Mukunddasji said that he has taken this initiative to keep the memory of his Sri Guru, Dr. Swami Pragyadasji Kathia, intact and to spread his ideas. However, he appealed to the devotee disciples for the huge amount of money required to build the ashram. The ashram is being built with the money from their donations.

He said that the under-construction ashram has been named Kathia Peeth, Sri Sri 108 Swami Pragyadas Kathiababa Ka Sthan.
