Voice 9, News Desk: Three sisters were found deceased in a trunk located in their residence in Kanpur village, situated in the Jalandhar district. An officer stated that the parents of the girls had reported them missing on Sunday night at the Maqsudan Police Station, as they were not present upon their return from work.
Police confirmed that the
family, consisting of migrant laborers, had a total of five children. The
sisters were identified as Kanchan (4 years old), Shakti (7 years old), and
Amrita (9 years old). The bodies of all three girls were sent for post-mortem
examination in order to determine the cause of death.
Police further revealed that
the incident came to light when the father was in the process of relocating
household items on Monday and noticed that the trunk was unusually heavy. Upon
opening it, he tragically discovered his three daughters inside. The police
added that the father had recently received an eviction notice from his
landlord due to his drinking habit.
