shocking incident captured on camera, a young boy allegedly strangled and
stabbed an 18-year-old man over 60 times on a street in Delhi. The disturbing
security footage shows the accused dancing next to the victim's body. The
motive behind the murder is believed to be robbery, with the accused reportedly
wanting to steal money to buy biryani. The police have stated that the accused
first strangled the victim, rendering him unconscious, before stabbing him
multiple times. The incident took place in northeast Delhi's Welcome area.
According to the police, there was no apparent familiarity between the two individuals involved. The 16-year-old suspect, who is accused of the murder, allegedly attempted to rob the young man. However, the victim resisted, leading to an attack. The entire incident was captured by CCTV cameras, which showed the accused minor dragging the body into a narrow alleyway. In a gruesome act, he repeatedly stabbed the victim in the neck to ensure his demise.
Furthermore, he proceeded to kick the
victim's head multiple times. The chilling scene was all caught on camera as
the suspect stood over the lifeless body and began to dance. Deputy
Commissioner of Police (northeast), Joy Tirkey, stated that a PCR call was
received on Tuesday at approximately 11.15 pm, reporting that a minor had
fatally stabbed an 18-year-old youth during a robbery attempt in Janta Mazdoor
colony, Welcome area. Despite being rushed to the hospital, the victim was
pronounced dead.
The suspect was apprehended and
taken into custody by the authorities for allegedly stealing ₹350 from an
unidentified victim. The police are currently reviewing CCTV footage, and a forensic
team has visited the scene. As per police sources, the minor who is now facing
murder charges was previously involved in a similar crime in 2022, which was
also motivated by robbery. The police have identified the accused as a member
of a gang of three to four minors who have been involved in a series of violent
crimes. During interrogation, the suspect claimed that he was under the
influence of drugs at the time of the recent murder.
