Mann Ki Baat: Modi paid homage to all those who lost their lives in the Mumbai attack


Voice 9, New Delhi Bureau: During his Mann Ki Baat radio address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi commemorated the anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack and acknowledged that India had faced a heinous assault on this day. However, he also highlighted the country's resilience and ability to recover from such attacks, while also emphasizing its commitment to crushing terrorism. Additionally, Modi paid tribute to the individuals who lost their lives in the Mumbai attack and expressed that the nation continues to honor their bravery.

“We can never forget November 26. It was on this day that the most heinous terrorist attack took place in the country. Terrorists had shaken Mumbai and the entire country. But it is India’s capability that we recovered from that attack, and now we are also crushing terrorism with full courage,” he asserted.
"I remember when we were celebrating the 125th birth anniversary of BR Ambedkar in 2015, the idea came that November 26 be celebrated as Constitution Day... I extend wishes to all on Constitution Day,” he said.

On November 26, 2008, a group of 10 terrorists belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba infiltrated Mumbai via the sea route. They launched a brutal attack, resulting in the loss of 166 lives, including 18 security personnel, and causing injuries to numerous others. The siege lasted for a gruelling 60 hours. It is worth mentioning that the significance of November 26 extends beyond this tragic event. On the same day in 1949, the Constitution of India was adopted by the Constituent Assembly,
