Voice 9, Dhaka Bureau: Three Mohanganj Express compartments at the capital's
Tejgaon railway station were set on fire by miscreants. In this instance, a
compartment contained four bodies that were found. The train fire was reported
to the fire service on Tuesday, December 19, around five in the morning.
Officer-in-Charge of the Fire
Service Headquarters' Media Cell, Md. Shahjahan Shikder, stated that at 5:04 AM
on Tuesday, we learned that three Mohanganj Express compartments at Tejgaon
Railway Station had been set on fire by vandals. At about 7:30 am, our three
units put out the fire. Four corpses were found within a compartment.
Tejgaon police station, OC Mohammad Mohsin quoted the passengers as saying that
the train was coming from Netrakona to Dhaka. After crossing the airport
station, the passengers found the fire in the rear compartment. After that, the
driver stopped the train at Tejgaon station.
