The incident took place in Letekujan,
highlighting the challenges of coexisting with wildlife in the region. For the
past six months, a roaming herd of elephants has been a recurring presence in
various localities in the Morangi area, drawing attention to the urgent need
for effective conservation measures.
In the Letekujan area, a herd of elephants has
been stationed for the past week, capturing the interest of local residents.
However, tragedy struck when one of the elephants came into contact with a live
electric wire near National Highway 39. The powerful surge of electricity
proved fatal, leading to the immediate demise of the majestic creature.

In response, a team of forest personnel swiftly
rushed to the scene to recover the elephant's carcass, highlighting the
