Ayodhya Ram Mandir: The Pran Pratishtha ceremony begins today. The 70-year-old revered idol will also be placed

 



The idol made by Mysuru sculptor Arun Yogi Raj has been chosen to be installed in the sanctum sanctorum. The new idol is made of black stone and weighs between 150 and 200 kilograms. The idol of Ram Lalla will be placed on the designated seat in the sanctum sanctorum on January 18th. Devotees will not be able to have the darshan of Lord Shri Ram Lalla on January 20–21. From the 23rd, the darshan of the new idol will be open to the general public. 53 people from 50 countries around the world have been invited.

 


Alokesh Sribastav, Ayodhya, Voice 9:  The Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple will commence on Tuesday and continue until January 21st. The current idol, revered for the past 70 years, will also be placed in the sanctum sanctorum of the new temple. The Secretary of the Janmabhoomi Trust, Champat Rai, made the complete details of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony public on Monday.

Rai stated that minimum rituals will be required on January 22nd. The main ceremony of Pran Pratishtha will commence at 12:20 p.m. in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The ceremony will last for about 40 minutes. Following this, for about 75 minutes, PM Modi, CM Yogi, and RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat will deliver their messages. The President of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, will give his blessings. Guests will need to enter the Ram Janmabhoomi premises by 10:30 a.m. for the ceremony. Over eight thousand chairs are being set up on the temple premises. The celebration will include the felicitation of Ram Lalla with musical instruments from 25 different states of the country.

Rai mentioned that the auspicious time for Pran Pratishtha has been determined by the renowned Vedic scholar Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid, and 121 Vedic scholars will perform the complete ritual under the guidance of Acharya Lakshmikant Dixit of Varanasi. The presence of more than 150 traditional saints and religious leaders and over 50 tribal, mountain, coastal, island, and indigenous people is expected at the festival. More than 500 people associated with the temple construction, including engineers, will also be involved.




Pran Pratishtha will involve 12 rituals:


• January 16: Atonement and worship of the construction site
• January 17: Entry of the idol into the premises
• January 18: Pilgrimage worship and water procession, water residence, and scent residence
• January 19: medicinal residence, saffron residence, ghee residence, and grain residence
• January 20: Sugar residence, fruit residence, flower residence
• January 21: Midday residence, evening bed residence
The idol made by Yogi Raj will be installed.

The sound of auspicious music will resonate from 25 musical instruments.

Rai mentioned that before the Pran Pratishtha, the sound of auspicious music will be heard. The consecration festival in Ayodhya will feature auspicious music from 25 leading and rare musical instruments from various states.

Darshan will be closed on January 20–21.
