Alokesh Sribastav, Ayodhya, Voice 9: The Pran
Pratishtha ceremony for the Ram Mandir was held in Ayodhya with great splendor.
More than 7,000 individuals, including celebrities, politicians, sports
personalities, and musicians, attended the grand event. The consecration
ceremony took place at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, with Prime Minister
Narendra Modi presiding over the proceedings. Numerous dignitaries and locals
were present at the ceremony.
Today, several politicians, actors, and sports
stars visited Ayodhya to participate in the installation ceremony of Lord Ram's
idol in the newly constructed temple. In 2019, the Supreme Court of India
acknowledged the existence of a Hindu temple at the Babri site and permitted
the construction of the temple on the disputed land. Additionally, the court
ordered the allocation of a separate parcel of land for the construction of a
grand mosque.
Prime Minister Modi oversaw the Pran Pratishtha
ceremony, which took place between 12:20 p.m. and 1 p.m. on Monday, during an
auspicious time. As part of the auspicious occasion, prasad boxes were
distributed to all attendees. According to a report by the Times of India,
these boxes contained seven items, including a diya (lamp) and laddoos (sweet
treats). By personally leading the pran pratishtha of Ram, Prime Minister Modi
has inaugurated a new cultural consensus on Hinduism in India, referring to it
as a "divine program" in Ayodhya. In his public address from Ayodhya,
he stated, "After centuries, Ram has returned home... It is the beginning
of a 'New Age.'"
Pakistan has expressed condemnation towards the
consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The country's foreign office
released a statement stating that the ceremony reflects India's growing
majoritarianism.
