Bangladesh: Hasina in India? In Agartala? Sheikh Hasina leaves amid fighting

Voice 9, News Desk: Bangladesh's Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina, tendered her resignation and departed from the bustling metropolis of Dhaka amidst tumultuous demonstrations clamoring for her departure, as disclosed by a confidant of the beleaguered stateswoman to the esteemed news agency AFP. "She and her sibling have vacated Ganabhaban (the official abode of the Prime Minister) for a more secure location," the informant apprised AFP. "She harbored intentions of delivering an oration.

Regrettably, the circumstances did not permit her to fulfill that aspiration," the source lamented. A multitude of protestors, numbering in the hundreds of thousands, flouted the curfew, parading through the thoroughfares of the capital and subsequently breaching the citadel of the Prime Minister.

Visual depictions captured throngs streaming into the premier's governmental residence in Dhaka, gesticulating towards the lens in jubilation. Troops and law enforcement officers, accompanied by armored vehicles in Dhaka, had cordoned off pathways to Ms. Hasina's headquarters with concertina wire, as attested by AFP correspondents; however, colossal throngs inundated the avenues, dismantling impediments. Regional media outlets estimated that up to 400,000 demonstrators thronged the streets, yet the veracity of this statistic remained unverifiable.
