Nestled in the Tiruvarur district, the villagers are imbued with a palpable sense of excitement, fervently wishing for Harris to secure a decisive victory over former President Donald Trump. The community has gathered at the Sri Dharma Sastha temple, engaging in rituals that reflect their aspirations for her to not only prevail but to make history as the first female president of the United States. With Trump seeking a return to the White House, the electoral contest is poised to be a nail-biting affair, with forecasts indicating a fiercely competitive showdown between the two candidates.

Ballu, the founder of the organizing body, expressed unwavering optimism regarding Harris’s electoral prospects. “Kamala Harris is poised to contest the U.S. Presidential elections. She will undoubtedly emerge victorious. We have conducted a special puja to invoke blessings for her success. Should she triumph, it will be a moment of immense joy for our entire state,” he proclaimed. Notably, Thulasendrapuram holds a significant place in Harris’s lineage, being the birthplace of her maternal grandfather, PV Gopalan.

Kamala stands as the inaugural female, the first black, and the pioneering Asian American vice president in U.S. history. Should the 59-year-old Kamala Harris ascend to the presidency, she would etch her name in the annals of history as the first woman to hold the highest office in the land. Remarkably, she is only the second woman ever to be nominated for the presidency by a major political party.

In a show of devotion and hope, an 11-day Maha Yagnam was recently conducted in Telangana, dedicated to securing Harris’s victory in the U.S. Presidential Elections. Nalla Suresh Reddy, the visionary behind the Shyamala Gopalan Educational Foundation, conveyed a message of optimism, stating, “The Goddess has heeded the prayers of the people, and we are filled with hope regarding Kamala Harris’s prospects of winning and making history as the first woman President of the United States.”
