Sangbad Voice 9, New Delhi Bureau: A 41-year-old man in Bengaluru was allegedly killed by his friend after urinating inside the house while intoxicated, police reported on Sunday. The victim, identified as Pradeep Shivalingaiah from Thimmabhobipalya, was discovered dead at his residence on December 17. His body showed signs of torture, with burn marks believed to be caused by cigarettes on his torso and hands, as well as a blunt injury to his head. The Madanayakanahalli police opened a murder investigation and, during the inquiry, arrested 30-year-old Chetan, who was found to have a history of criminal activity. Investigations also revealed that Chetan had turned up the television volume to mask Pradeep’s cries while he was being attacked and tortured.
The investigation found that Chetan, who had been living with Pradeep for the past two months, was his drinking companion. It was discovered that Pradeep would urinate inside the house while drunk and behave irrationally. Despite being warned, Pradeep reportedly continued this behavior, leading to Chetan attacking him with a blunt object. Chetan fled the scene but was later arrested by the police in Salem, Tamil Nadu. Further inquiries revealed that Chetan had turned up the volume on the television to cover Pradeep’s screams during the attack and torture.
