Later, police reached the spot, brought the
situation under control, and restored traffic. The incident took place around
11:30 a.m. on Friday in the Dasherhat area of the upazila on the Dhaka-Khulna
highway. Sub-Inspector Md. Abu Noman of Bhanga Highway Police Station confirmed
the matter. The deceased were identified as Ranu Begum, 60, wife of Akmal
Sheikh of Maheshpur Union of Kashiani upazila, and Hayat Sheikh, 65, son of
Abdul Haque of the same union.
The injured were identified as Fulmia, 45;
Lamia, 15; Jabeda, 45; and Khuki Begum, 47. The death toll is expected to rise
further.
According to locals, a passenger bus from Dola
Paribahan, which left Dhaka, was going to Khulna. On the way, another bus
collided head-on with a Muksudpur-bound easybike leaving Kashiani while
overtaking another bus when it reached in front of BK Primary School in
Dasherhat area of Muksudpur upazila on the Dhaka-Khulna highway.
The injured have been sent to different
hospitals as their condition is critical.

Police Station said, "We reached the spot and recovered the body of one
person. The injured were taken to the Upazila Health Complex, where one person
died. Traffic on the highway is normal. Our legal process is ongoing.
