West Bengal: A 12-year-old kid showed bravery by saving a loco-pilot

Voice 9, Kolkata Bureau: A 12-year-old kid from Malda, West Bengal, used his red shirt as a flag to alert the locomotive driver of the train's impending arrival at a damaged track. After witnessing a broken track, the child waved his red shirt toward an approaching train carrying many people, Northeast Frontier Railway authorities told news agency PTI on Monday.

The train's loco-pilot responded quickly to the signal, using the emergency brake right away to stop the train and prevent a huge disaster. Last Thursday, not far from the Bhaluka road yard, the event took place.
The officials at the Northeast Frontier Railway were impressed with the boy, identified as Mursalin Seikh. The railway authorities applauded the "bravery" in a statement to the media.

Malda North Lok Sabha member Khagen Murmu, along with Divisional Railway Manager of Katihar, Surendra Kumar, personally visited Mursalin’s residence in Kariali village to commend his remarkable effort. De emphasized that NFR deeply appreciated the boy’s dedication to society.
