Polba-Dadpur: Seventy thousand financial grants were given to registered puja committees


Voice 9, Kolkata Bureau: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced an increase in the state government’s grants to Durga Puja committees from ₹60,000 to ₹70,000 per club. Around 40,000 community pujas are held across the state, with around 3,000 being held in Kolkata alone.

Apart from these, pujas are held at housing campuses and individual houses. Seventy thousand financial grants were given to registered puja committees of the Polba police station and the Dadpur police station of Hooghly district on Sunday.

Along with this, new clothes were distributed to the poor people from the Mahanad party office. The honorable MLA of Saptagram Assembly, Mr. Tapan Dasgupta, MLA of Dhaniakhali Assembly, Asima Patra Mahasaya, President of Hooghly Zilla Parishad Ranjan Dhara, and all police officers were present at this event.
