Tamil Nadu: An explosion at a firecracker godown kills seven people

 


Voice 9, News Desk: An explosion at a firecracker warehouse in Tamil Nadu has resulted in the tragic loss of seven lives, with numerous others sustaining injuries, according to official reports.

The incident occurred on Monday when a substantial fire erupted at approximately 10:20 p.m. following the explosion in Vetriyur Viragalur, located in the Ariyalur district of Tamil Nadu. Upon receiving notification of the incident, the Ariyalur district collector, J Anne Mary Swarna, and district superintendent of police, K Feroze Khan Abdullah, promptly arrived at the scene.

 Meanwhile, the injured individuals were expeditiously transported to a local government hospital, where they are currently receiving medical treatment, as stated by police officials.
