The CID apprehended 17 individuals, including three high-ranking BPSC personnel, on Monday night (July 8) for disseminating question papers for 30 recruitment exams, notably the BCS. Prior to his apprehension, social media users unveiled Abed Ali's substantial affluence. Sources indicate that Abed Ali's offspring, Nasaid Sohanur Rahman, is a dislodged leader of the Siam Chhatra League, having pursued education overseas and attended a private university. Furthermore, he possesses two towering edifices in Dhaka and Alishan House in Madaripur. Various depictions of philanthropic contributions, political and communal engagements, and 'Barahatgari' have surfaced on social platforms. In a poignant social media declaration, he expressed, "Never have I encountered such desolation in my existence. Fate has taken a turn."

The erstwhile driver of the PSC chairman, Abed Ali, hailing from Dasar in Madaripur, recently unveiled his assets worth millions of rupees. Following the revelation, netizens shared their sentiments on social networks. Details regarding his dual high-rise structures in Dhaka and Alishan House in Madaripur have also emerged.

Abed Ali frequently engaged with affluent and influential circles, including administrative officials. His son, Syed Sohanur Rahman Siam, serves as the vice president of the Dasar Upazila Chhatra League. His father chauffeured him in a luxurious vehicle.
