91 dead in fresh Bangladesh clashes


Voice 9, Dhaka: At least 91 people, including several policemen, were killed after a fresh round of clashes broke out in Bangladesh, as protesters demanded the immediate resignation of Sheikh Hasina's government.

The anti-discrimination student movement has engulfed the entire country in conflict and violence, resulting in at least 91 deaths. Among them, 14 are police officers. In Sirajganj, 13 police officers have been killed in Enayetpur Thana.

Throughout the day, clashes have resulted in 6 deaths in Narayanganj, 8 in Feni, 8 in Lakshmipur, a total of 22 including 13 police officers in Sirajganj, 4 in Kishoreganj, 6 in the capital Dhaka, 5 in Bogura, 3 in Munshiganj, 4 in Magura, 3 in Bhola, 4 in Rangpur, 3 in Pabna, 5 in Sylhet, 3 including police officers in Comilla, 2 in Sherpur, 1 in Joypurhat, 1 in Habiganj, 1 in Keraniganj, 1 in Savar, and 1 in Barishal. A total of 91 people have been killed. The Police Headquarters has reported that 14 police officers have been killed nationwide, with 13 deaths in Sirajganj's Enayetpur Thana and one in Comilla's Eliotganj.

The Police Headquarters has stated that the DMCH premises and Khilgaon Thana; Tangail's Gorai Highway Thana; Bogura Sadar, Dupchanchia, and Sherpur Thana, and Naruli Police Station; Joypurhat Sadar Thana; Comilla's Eliotganj Highway Thana; Rangpur's Gangachara, Mithapukur, Pirgachha, Pirganj, Badarganj, and Gangachara; Brahmanbaria Sadar and Ashuganj Thana; Sirajganj's Enayetpur, Ullapara, and Shahjadpur Thana; Habiganj's Madhabpur Police Station; Mymensingh Range Office; Narayanganj, Bogura, Pabna, and Sirajganj Police Super's Office; and Dinajpur Sadar Thana have been attacked. Nearly three hundred police officers have been injured.
