Voice 9, Hooghly: Under the auspices of Chinsura Rabindra Bhawan, the Chandannagar Police Commissionerate recently facilitated the distribution of checks amounting to 85 thousand taka to various puja committees. In a significant stride towards safeguarding women's rights, the inauguration of Pink Petrol—a dedicated initiative aimed at ensuring the protection of women—was also announced.
The event was graced by the presence of District Magistrate Shri Mati Mukta
Arya, alongside the esteemed Commissioner of Police, Chandannagar, Shri Amit P.
Javalgi. Notable dignitaries included the Honorable MLA of Saptagram Assembly,
Shri Tapan Dasgupta, and MLA of Chunchura Assembly, Asit Majumder. The
gathering also featured District President Ranjan Dhara, Chairman of Hooghly
Chunchura Municipality Amit Roy, and Chairman of Banshberia Municipality Aditya
Niyogi, along with a host of officials, leaders, and representatives from the
