Voice 9, Dhaka Bureau: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has tightened its vigil
along the border with Bangladesh.
On Tuesday (October 1), BGB's Satkhira-33 Battalion Commander, Lt Col Md. This
was stated in a press release signed by Ashraful Haque.
It said there is a threat of use of force and firing by the Indian Border
Security Force (BSF) along the border. Therefore, there is a risk of loss of
life by BSF if Bangladeshi citizens cross the border illegally.
To this end, Bangladeshi nationals, especially the border population, are
requested to refrain from illegal entry or inadvertent attempts to cross the
border to avoid any unwanted and life-threatening situation on the other side
of the border.
The BGB has also requested immediate information and cooperation in the current
situation if Bangladeshi nationals or miscreants try to cross the border
illegally.
