Voice 9, Dhaka Bureau: In Gobindaganj, Gaibandha, a teacher by the name of Kazi Rashedur Rahman Lipu killed himself by ingesting gas pills meant to kill rats. The event occurred on Sunday night at Amtali's village's Kazi para in the Rakhalburuz union of the upazila. Kazi Rashedur Rahman Lipu, the late Moazzem Hossain of Kazipara Village's son, was Kazipara High School's acting headmaster.

Kazi Rashedur Rahman allegedly became sick after ingesting rat-killing gas pills in the evening, according to local reports. To begin with, he was brought to the Gobindaganj Upazila Health Complex. After his health deteriorated, he passed away en route to Bogura Shaheed Zia Medical College Hospital. Locals believe that he may have committed suicide due to mental disturbances caused by complications related to recruitment at the school.
Gobindaganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shamsul Alam Shah confirmed the incident. He said the exact cause of death would be known after the post-mortem.
