mowed down four people, including two women, standing by the roadside in Madhya
Pradesh's Shajapur area on Friday evening, according to authorities.
The event occurred on the
Akodia-Shujalpur road. Three of the victims died on the spot, while the fourth
died on the way to the hospital, according to Shujalpur Mandi police station
in-charge Sanjay Mandloi. Aman (25), Varsha Bai (23), Leela Bai (55), and
Naitik (age unknown) were among those killed.
The driver of the
straw-carrying vehicle fled the scene, according to the police officer, who added
that an investigation was underway.
