Voice 9, Science Desk: A radiation doctor from
Kentucky who claims to have investigated more than 5,000 near-death encounters
holds the opinion that there is life after death "without a doubt. Dr.
Long was supported by other medical professionals performing related studies,
who also mentioned a few recognizable characteristics.
Notably, Dr. Jeffrey Long founded the Near-Death Experience Research Foundation in 1998 as a result of his passion for near-death experiences. He recently wrote an essay in Insider based on his experiences.
Near-death experiences (NDEs) are described by him as
"someone who is either comatose or clinically dead, without a heartbeat,
having a lucid experience where they see, hear, feel emotions, and interact
with other beings. According to reports, Jeffrey gathers accounts from people
who have claimed NDEs and conducts scientific examinations of them.
People assert that "their consciousness separates from [their] physical body, usually hovering above," enabling them to perceive and hear what is occurring around them, according to Long. People claim that after having an out-of-body experience, they are taken to another world. Many people see a brilliant light after passing through a tunnel.
Then they are welcomed by recently deceased loved ones, including pets,
who are still in excellent health. Most individuals claim to feel an enormous
amount of love and tranquility. They believe that this other world is their
true home.
He
gave the following examples: "One woman passed out while riding her horse
on a trail. While her consciousness accompanied her horse as he rushed back to
the stable, her body lingered on the trail. When her body wasn't at the barn,
she was still able to recall exactly what happened there because she had
witnessed it. Her account was supported by others who hadn't spoken to her.
He did acknowledge, though, that he had never
discovered a "scientific explanation for these experiences."
"I've studied up on brain science and
thought of every explanation there is for NDEs. The fact is that none of them
are credible, he said.
