Voice 9, Dhaka Bureau: In
Cox's Bazar's Teknaf, a third-grade child was raped and brutally killed. The
corpse was deposited in the madrasa sewer in the middle of the night after the
murder. Later, the kidnapper contacted the child's relatives and demanded a ransom in order
to fabricate a kidnapping scenario. The event occurred in Teknaf's Al Jamiatul
Islamia Darusunnah Madrasa.
On Friday evening, Rab-15
detained Hafez Mo Erfan, the son of the madrasa's vice principal, Mufti Ali
Ahmed. According to his confession, the body was later discovered in the
Madrasa sewer. Erfan studied at the madrasa.
At a press conference
held at Al Jamiatul Islamia Darusunnah Madrasa in Teknaf at 10 p.m. on Friday,
Major Syed Sadiqul Haque, acting commander of RAB-15 Cox's Bazar, stated this.
The victim was allegedly taken from the road in front of her residence
earlier that evening.
The accused then demanded
Rs 5 lakh as ransom. Major Syed Sadiqul Islam stated at the press conference
that Erfan persuaded the victim to go to the madrasa and took her there due to
the madrasa's closing. They later raped and murdered the youngster inside the
madrasa chamber.
To deflect attention away from the event, they fabricated an abduction scenario and demanded a ransom of Tk 5 lakh. According to Erfan's confession, Rab has done the horrific deed alone thus far. However, whether or not others are engaged is being probed.
Meanwhile, a terrible event occurred in the vice principal's chamber at the
century-old traditional madrasa. The people asked that the artists responsible
for the atrocity be brought forward, claiming that Erfan could not remove the
body after being raped alone.
The officer-in-charge
(OC) of Teknaf Model Police Station, Mohammad Zubair Syed, claimed that
arrangements are being made to take the body of the abducted madrasa student to
Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital for autopsy. "On Thursday, my daughter was
returning from home when unidentified people abducted her," stated the
victim's mother. They later phoned and wanted Tk 5 lakh as ransom.
