On Monday (February 5), Judge Fatema Ferdous of the Noakhali Women and Children Repression Tribunal-2 announced the verdict of the case. The prosecution has taken evidence from 23 witnesses in this case. A complaint has been filed against 16 accused, including member Ruhul Amin. The police have arrested 15 accused. Currently, they are in Noakhali district jail. Since the incident, the accused, Moinul, also known as Helal (28), has been absconding.

In this regard, special security measures have been taken on the court premises since the morning. A large number of police have been deployed in the area. At ten o'clock in the morning, 15 accused in the case were brought to the courtroom of the district judge under tight security from Noakhali district jail.
From the case documents, it is known that on the night of the 11th parliamentary elections in 2018, under the leadership of local Ruhul Amin, the bride was gang-raped after her husband and son were tied up.
The victim's complaint alleges that the incident occurred due to the reluctance of the voters at the polling center to vote against their preferences.
The next day after the incident, the victim's husband filed a case at Charjabbar Police Station under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act. At the end of the investigation, on March 27, 2019, 16 people, including expelled Awami League leader Ruhul Amin, filed a complaint with the district detective police inspector, Jakir Hossain.
