In South Korea, a stabbing near Seoul left 13 people injured, according to police

Voice 9, International Desk: According to police, nine people were stabbed and four others were injured by a car driven by the alleged assailant in Seongnam, a commuter town in South Korea not far from the capital Seoul. Seongnam is an affluent satellite city of Seoul, and the Bundang district, where the crime took place, is known for its residential areas and secure streets, yet the two stabbings raised suspicion online.

According to the News Agency, at least one victim of the stabbing incident in South Korea passed away on Thursday. According to a statement from the police, one individual has been detained. The incident took place close to Seohyeon station, which is around 20 kilometers from Seoul and features a sizable department store and other stores. Police said 12 of the victims had been hospitalized.

Images from the incident on Thursday, which have not been officially verified, appeared to show a bloody floor and at least one emergency medical chopper nearby. On July 21, a second stabbing assault occurred in the South Korean capital, leaving one person dead and three more injured.

On Twitter, which is now called X, a netizen remarked, "The attack (near the) Seohyeon station is really terrifying." "How can we feel safe and at ease leaving the house when things like this happen?"
