Voice 9, News Desk: Five people were killed as a
result of a collision between a school bus and an autorickshaw in Kasaragod.
The incident occurred at approximately 5 p.m. on Monday in the vicinity of
Pallathadukka near Badiadka.
The police reported that all five passengers in
the autorickshaw, including the driver, were killed in the accident. The
victims, with the exception of the driver, A. H. Adbul Rauf, 64, of Kudlu, were
women from Mogral. They were identified as Beefathima, 50, wife of Usman Mogar;
Nabeesa, 49, wife of Abbas Belloor; Ummu Halimma, 55, wife of Ismail Kadavath;
and Beefathima, 64, wife of Sheikh Ali Kadavath. Beefathar, Nabeesa, and Ummu
Halimma were siblings.
The remains of all the victims have been
transported to Kasaragod General Hospital. Despite the prompt response of local
residents who transported the injured to the hospital, their lives could not be
saved.
The autorickshaw, which was en route to Perla,
collided head-on with the school bus, which was returning from its evening trip
on the Cherkala-Adkasthala state highway at Pallathadka. There were no students
on the bus. The autorickshaw was completely destroyed in the collision.
