Voice 9 Sangbad News Desk: Four days remained before her wedding. However, she wanted to marry someone else, so her father shot her dead. In front of police, a father shot and killed his 20-year-old daughter in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, in this horrifying crime. Tanu Gurjar, the daughter, had openly voiced her desire to wed a guy of her choosing and objected to the marriage that her family had arranged.
The murder took place in the city's Gola Ka Mandir neighborhood on Tuesday
night at approximately nine o'clock.
Mahesh
Gurjar, the victim's father, allegedly shot his daughter at close range with a
domestically produced weapon after becoming infuriated over a video she had
shared on social media earlier that day. Rahul, Tanu's cousin, is accused of
being an accomplice and of firing more shots to guarantee Tanu's death.
Tanu claimed that her family had forced her into an unwelcome marriage in a
video that she posted on social media only hours before she was killed. She
expressed fears for her safety and blamed her situation on her father, Mahesh,
and other family members in the 52-second video.
"I'd
like to wed Vicky. After first agreeing, my family later declined. They
threaten to kill me and beat me every day. "My family will be held
accountable if something were to happen to me," Tanu said in the video.
She was referring to Bhikam "Vicky" Mawai, who lives in Agra, Uttar
Pradesh, and has been dating Tanu for six years.
