A man kidnaps his ex-girlfriend and demands an iPhone from her mother as ransom

 Voice 9, Mumbai: A 26-year-old man has been charged with kidnapping a 19-year-old woman and demanding an iPhone or Rs 1.5 lakh in exchange for her release. The man has been apprehended. According to Navghar police, the youngster was kidnapped on Wednesday from the Golden Next neighborhood and phoned her mother from her cell phone, wanting an iPhone or Rs 1.5 lakh in cash as ransom.

According to police reports, the mother immediately approached the officers. When the police called the kidnapper on his phone, he answered it and repeated his demand to the officer, not realizing who was on the other end of the line. When the police replied to his request, the guy departed, leaving the 19-year-old alone.

During the course of the inquiry, it was discovered that the accused and the victim met in January and had an affair. When the woman discovered that the man was already married, she stopped seeing him. Angry, the accused compelled the woman to meet with him, threatening to make some private films available online if she did not. She met him a few times and was terrified.
