Voice 9, New Delhi Bureau: Javed Ahmad Wani, an Indian Army soldier, went missing in the Kulgam district of Kashmir. Police discovered blood stains in the missing soldier's car. Wani had been posted in Ladakh and returned home on leave. He was reportedly missing on Saturday after going out to shop in Chowalgam. His Alto car was towed to a nearby police station.
One of his slippers, as well as the goods he purchased, were discovered in the car. His mother appealed for his safe release, fearing he may have been abducted. In her video message, Wani’s mother appeals to "one and all to allow my son to return home".
"He is innocent and young. If he has done anything wrong, I seek forgiveness."
The search for the
jawan in the region has come to an end. Wani, who was supposed to return to his
job in Leh today, is still absent. According to sources, after generating
leads, other regions will be investigated. So far, no one has been able to
confirm the true reason for his disappearance or kidnapping.
Sources said some residents were detained and
questioned. In a video, BJP leader Altaf Thakur stated that this was a new
approach by the extremists to attack innocent people. "We will find those
responsible for the soldier's kidnapping and punish them," he continued.
He stated that this is simply a failed attempt
motivated by dissatisfaction. Thakur asked senior police officials to find
those responsible and return the missing soldier home.
The army and police have begun a huge search and
are canvassing the region. Wani's neighbors alerted him that his automobile was
parked on the side of the road with the windows open. Agencies are attempting
to determine the true cause of this incident.
