Lori Vallow Daybell receives several life sentences for the murders of her two children. She mentions 'Daybell was joyful in paradise' in court

Voice 9, International Desk: Lori Vallow Daybell was sentenced to multiple life terms without the possibility of parole in the killings of her two children, a case that sparked national interest after her children went missing nearly four years ago. Vallow Daybell was convicted in May of murdering her children, Joshua "JJ" Vallow, 7, and Tylee Ryan, 16, as well as conspiracy to commit murder in Tammy Daybell's death.

Tylee Daybell is the biological daughter of Vallow Daybell's third marriage to Joseph Ryan, who died of a heart attack in 2018. She and her present fifth husband, Chad Daybell, were accused of being preoccupied with apocalyptic prophecies and believing people may become "zombies" possessed by demonic spirits.

Authorities launched the hunt for Tylee and Joshua in November 2019 after many family members reported that they hadn't seen or talked to the youngsters since September. According to police, Vallow Daybell and her husband lied to police about the children's whereabouts and failed to comply with court demands to physically produce the children.

Vallow Daybell addressed the court before her punishment, alleging that a near-death experience allowed her to speak with the "spirit world." She informed the judge she knew "for a fact" her children and Tammy Daybell were in heaven. Tylee and Joshua have told her that they are happy after their deaths. Jesus knows me and understands me. stated Vallow Daybell. Jesus Christ knows the truth about what happened here: no one was slain in this case. Accidental deaths, suicides, and deadly adverse effects from drugs all occur."

"After all of this evidence and trial you haven't shown any remorse," Boyce said. "You haven't said you're sorry. You haven't done anything to seek leniency from this court."
