Voice 9, News Desk: Four women, including the spouses of the two main suspects, were found to have assisted in helping them burn the body of the 14-year-old girl at a charcoal furnace, according to the state police, who announced their findings two days after the alleged murder and gang-raping of the girl in Rajasthan's Bhilwara district.
The child, who had gone to graze the goats, had
vanished on Wednesday; her jewelry and burned bones were discovered in the
charcoal furnace the following day. In addition to being booked under the
appropriate provisions of the POCSO Act, the accused were additionally charged
with gang rape and murder by the police.
According to Bhilwara SP Adarsh Sidhu,
"After looking into the matter, we discovered that there were about ten
persons involved, of which six are men and four are women, including the two
spouses, the mother, and the sister of the two accused. A minor has also been
held in custody. Four persons have been taken into custody, and one is being
held."
He added, "The girl may have been alive when she was placed in the furnace, according to our investigation. We have scientific evidence that will prove the gang rape. In terms of the women's participation, we know that they assisted in opening the furnace and starting the fire when the girl was grabbed and brought close to it. It appears from the inquiry thus far that the ladies were not there when the gangrape occurred. Two accused had gang-raped the girl."
