10 people, including 4 doctors, were jailed for forging documents to acquire and sell land



Voice 9, Dhaka Bureau: A Dhaka court sentenced ten people, including four physicians, to prison on allegations of forging documents to acquire and sell land. On Wednesday afternoon, Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Mahmudul Mohsin issued the order.

Tangail District BMA General Secretary Sylhet Medical College Professor Dr. Abul Kalam Azad is one of the four physicians that were imprisoned. Among those present were Md. Shahidullah Kaiser, his wife, Dr. Tangail Civil Surgeon's Office Medical Officer Azizul Haque, and Gopalpur Upazila Health Complex Medical Officer Tapas Chandra Saha.

Taposh Chandra Saha's wife, Mukta Rani Pramanik, Md Waris, Atwar Rahman, Mamunur Rahman, Abdullah Al Milon, and Sultana Yasmin are among the others.

According to Court Inspector Tanvir Ahmed, Sajjat Hossain of the city's Sabalia area filed a complaint with the Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court stating that the defendants fabricated a bogus porcha of 10% of his land in the Sabalia area and purchased and sold it. On Wednesday, the accused appeared in court and requested bail. The judge denied their bail request and sentenced them to prison.
